Famous in watchmaking history for having invented the world time mechanism, Louis Cottier was also the inventor of an ingenious push-button-controlled dual time-zone mechanism from which Patek Philippe freely drew inspiration to develop reference 5134. This special limited-edition series was launched in 2004 to celebrate the 150 e anniversary of Gübelin, Patek Philippe’s historic retailer. 180 watches were manufactured: 50 in yellow gold, 40 in platinum, 45 in white gold and 45 in rose gold. Featuring one of the most desirable double signatures on the market, our example is a particularly interesting collector’s item for enthusiasts in search of rare complications.
