Preview and Auction

Preview
Prior to each auction, the preview takes place in our premises at the auction site for one week. Visitors can view all works that will be sold in the auction. Our specialists will be pleased to provide you with detailed information about each lot.
Before the preview exhibition, a smaller selection of works will be presented in Zurich, St. Gallen and/or Basel.

Bidder Numbers
All bidders receive a bidder number from us, so that the anonymity of interested parties and buyers is guaranteed during the sale. The personal details registered with the bidder number are only known to the auction house and are treated with strict confidence.

Bidding
You have the possibility to be present in the auction room during the sale to bid.

If you wish to leave an absentee bid, please fill in the corresponding absentee bid form completely and carefully, with your personal data, lot numbers and your maximum bids. The signed form must reach us by 12 noon on the day prior to the auction sale. Please note that absentee bids are understood as maximum bids; the acceptance may thus also be lower.

Registrations for bidding by phone must also be submitted with the above-mentioned absentee bid form by 12 noon on the day before the sale. In this case a maximum bid does not need to be indicated, however, if you do it will be treated as a safety bid in case we cannot reach you at the time of the call. Please enter the telephone number where you can be reached at the time of the auction clearly (bold and clear figures). Phone bidders will be contacted a few minutes before the desired lot is being called up during the sale.

Important: first time bidders with our auction house may be requested to supply a copy of an ID and financial references in advance. The Auction House reserves the right not to accept a bidder / registration request.

Premium
In addition to the hammer price, the buyer is charged a premium for the purchased object. This premium is 22% of the hammer price.

VAT
VAT of 8.1% is levied on the premium (20% of the hammer price). For objects marked with "*" in the catalogue, on a supplementary sheet or which are referred to accordingly during the sale, VAT is charged on the full amount (hammer price and premium). In the case of exportation of an object abroad, VAT will be refunded to the buyer after providing legally valid proof of export (original and stamped export form of Swiss customs authorities).

Payment
All estimated prices are given in CHF. Payment must also be made in CHF.

Collection of the acquired objects
The works can only be collected after the outstanding amount has been paid in full. A pick up of the works is only possible during the designated hours or by appointment. We will be happy to assist you with organising packaging and transport through one of our professional shipping partners. (Kindly note that any costs involved with packaging and transport need to be settled directly with the relevant shipping company.)
