A 18k gold quarter repeating hunting-cased pocket watch on strike and demand
Case: round hinged, hunting case type with polished exterior and inscription inside the cuvette, reeded band fitted with a pusher activating the quarter repeating mechanism, striking the hours and quarters on demand, also two slides with inscription « P » and « G » as well as « N » and “S” meaning most probably «Petite Sonnerie » and « Grande Sonnerie » as well as « Neutre » and “Silence”
Cuvette : engraved inside the cuvette: Charles Collins Hartford Bought of Tiffany & Co New York
Dial: white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and subsidiary seconds at 6, blued-steel Breguet style hands, signed « Jules Jurgensen Copenhagen »
Movement: key winding mechanism, gilt movement of high quality, jewelled throughout and signed Jules Jürgensen, Copenhagen, with compensated balance and precision regulator, two hammers repeating on a gong, signed « Jules Jurgensen Copenhagen » and numbered « 6857 »
